Our first step is a call between you and your Recruiting Coach. A call to get to know your family, and for you to get to know your Recruiting Coach.
It is important that you feel comfortable with your Recruiting Coach and you know that they will always be there for you through the entire process.
After the Team Call we will forward an online document to help you compile your Target List. This list will be shared exclusively with your family and your Recruiting Coach. The target list is a vital tool throughout the recruiting process.
After the list is completed, you and your Recruiting Coach will evaluate and discuss. Your Recruiting Coach will provide valuable feedback regarding the profile of your child and each school on your list. We take into consideration academics, athletics, wish list, and personality of the team and coaching staff.
This list will bend, shape and morph over time. There are many variables that affect this list such as; academic progression, athletic progression, changes in your Wish List, changes in coaches recruiting needs.
Once the Target List is evaluated we will begin the process of making introductions of your child to the coaches at each of the desired schools of interest.
Your Recruiting Coach will work closely with you to draft an Opening Email that articulates why you are interested in the school and who you are as a player, a student and a person.
The initial contact will be done through email. We know what coaches prefer.
Your Recruiting Coach will also provide a contact list so you know exactly which coach to send this email to at each school.
We have the Target List and you have introduced yourself to the coaches. Now we have to formulate a plan to get you playing in front of the schools on your Target List. Your Recruiting Coach will suggest various events (Camps, Showcases, Tournaments) that your target schools typically attend. Together you will formulate your Exposure Plan for the remainder of the recruiting year.
All the logistics are in place and now it is time to react to the evolution of the recruiting process. Reacting is the most important piece of the process, and where your Recruiting Coach can offer the most help. After each time you are exposed to these schools we will evaluate any feedback that comes in from College Coaches. This feedback will allow us to react accordingly. Do they need to see you again? Do you need to visit the school? Do we need to cross the school off the list? Etc. Each variable will allow us to change, or keep the current plan in place to maximize the process.
We always offer an initial conversation for free. You should get to know us, and we have to get to know you in order to move forward. This is a team process. Once we start, we become an extension of your family. Starting with a conversation is the best way to get comfortable.
Absolutely. We do evaluations three ways; in person, through video, or through consulting our network of college coaches. It is important we have a sense of your ability so we can give you the best advice.
The Recruiting Coaches do not market players to college coaches. We have very strong relationships with college coaches and they will often call us to see what we think of a player that we are working with. We do not make contact to “place” our players. If a Coach reaches out to us we will absolutely have a conversation.
You will discuss all ends of the recruiting spectrum with your Recruiting Coach but here are a few examples of topics you might cover:
Schools to consider
Personality of coaches
Reputation of program
The types of players certain schools typically recruit
Choice of summer team
Team schedule – Does it fit my Exposure Plan?
Individual showcases and camps you are considering
Are these emails real or mass?
Coaches to contact
and much more
Any academic updates. GPA, ACT, SAT, SAT 2, AP Tests, etc.
Any interaction with college coaches. Face to Face, Email, Text, Phone, Third Party, etc.
Any tournaments, showcases or camps you have scheduled
Update after the events
Any visits you have scheduled
Update after the visit
And much more
Of Course! Your Recruiting Coach is your guide through this process. You can use your Recruiting Coach as much as you want. Contact will primarily be initiated by you since you have the questions!!
The Recruiting Coach will also reach out to you with updates and instructions. These updates might include:
GPA or Test Score requests
Scheduling Check-In Phone Calls
Camp or Showcase Schedules
Communication Rule Reminders
and much more
No, we do not. We have found that it is a conflict of interest to be able to recommend the best events to attend if we are in fact profiting off of those events. By not running teams, camps or showcases we are free to make the absolute best recommendation on what is right for each of our players.
